Narni (Tr). From August 28th to 31st the Narni Black Festival will be back in town with four evenings dedicated to American music: gospel, R&B and soul. This year is the 10th anniversary since the founding of the festival and it will be celebrating with the DJ Satoshi Tomiie from 11pm on the opening night in the magnificent Rocca Albornoziana.
Other star guests are Bobby Johnson, one of the few truly soul singers around today; Keisha Jackson, one of the world's greatest 'black' voices back in the region with Umbria Jazz Winter; George Clinton, one of the world's leading names in funk; the KC and Sunshine Band, one of the earliest US disco groups but also producers of a number of funk and R&B successes; the Village People and, lastly, Andrea Mingardi, one of Italy's leading blues singers.
Except for the opening night, all concerts will be held at 9pm in Piazza dei Priori.
