Events - UmbriaEstate 2008 
Assisi (Pg). The UmbriaEstate 2008 international festival will run from July 26th to August 31st in various towns across Umbria, with Assisi as the main venue hosting masterclasses conducted by leading international musicians from July 26th to August 10th and concerts scheduled in lesser known corners of the region for the remaining period of the festival.As always, the festival will be attended by young but already established musicians who come to perfect their concert performing repertoire. During the month of August Assisi will be hosting a total of nine major concerts and recitals given by top international names. Concerts all begin at 9.30pm. The overall programme has been drawn up by the Accademia Musicale Internazionale under the artistic direction of Piero Vincenti. See below for details of the full programme in Italian. Concertisti di fama internazionale perovenienti da tutto il mondo. Domenica 10 agosto – Assisi – Piazzetta della Chiesa Nuova ORCHESTRA ASSISILAB - Marco PONTINI direttore OrchestarAssisiLab è il frutto di un Laboratorio Orchestrale per giovani musicisti nato all'interno del Festival Umbriaestate e tenuto dal direttore d'orchestra Marco Pontini. Il concerto è la chiusura naturale di tale laboratorio che ha l'ambizione di diventare un punto fermo e imprescindibile per i giovani musicisti che nel loro accrescimento musicale necessitano di esperienza del "suonare in orchestra".
