Events - Festa del Perdono in the Porziuncola Chapel
Assisi loc. S. Maria degli Angeli. The Festa del Perdono, which dates back centuries to 1216 when it was instituted as an indulgence day by Pope Honorius III, will be celebrated in the Porziuncola chapel on August 1st and 2nd and still attracts a startling number of pilgrims from throughout the world, including a delegation of faithful dressed in their colourful traditional costumes from Ciociaria, a region between Rome and Naples.
